Disco bloccato

Ho recuperato un HD che è bloccato,per poter accedere devo mettere una password che non conosco,questo succedeva con un pc con Xp,mentre se provo con Windows 8.1,in entrambi le prove era collegato tramite usb,se vado in Gestione Disco mi dice che lo devo inizializzare,ma compare questo messaggio

• impossibile esguire la richiesta a causa di un errore di dispositivo I/0

ho provato sia in MBR che GPT.
L'HD è un Samsung modello HM250HI.
Ce il modo di recuperarlo?

Mi dispiace,,ma come ho scritto in precedenza la password la chiedeva con Xp,con Windows 8.1mi dice che l hd e da inizializzare ,ma quando tento di eseguire la procedura,mi compare il messaggio.

Ho provato a collegarlo direttamente dentro al pc,ho avviato il programma che mi hai consigliato,ma non ho risolto,alla fine come report mi esce questo.

Se proprio vuoi fare un ultimo tentativo, scarica un live cd linux con gparted all'interno, lascia nel pc solo quel disco fisso, fai il boot dal live cd e prova a formattarlo.
Se anche con quello non ci riesci, allora non puoi fare altro che buttarlo.

una speranza forse c'è, come dice crazy ci vuole il modello di computer ma anche il produttore del BIOS. Se inserisci (tre volte se non sbaglio) una password, per caso compare un codice di errore alfanumerico a schermo?

No,infatti prima l'avevo collegato tramite Usb,per formattarlo a basso livello,ma non lo vedeva,l'ho collegato internamente dentro al mio,ed è uscito tutto quel prologo da dove hai dedotto che è passato a miglior vita.

Avevo fatto confusione io, mi sembrava avessi un computer portatile. Con un pc desktop è più facile.

Il computer è un fisso,ma per provare con Gparted ho usato un portatile,con una versione di Gparted.

Ho installato la versione free,ma non vede nessun HD,ho provato sul mio fisso che con quello bloccato ha 3 HD,esce questa finestrella,ma essendo molto ignorante con l'inglese,ho guardato sul sito,ma non ho capito niente.

Dice che il disco non viene rilevato e che forse perché il controller è impostato in modalità RAID. È una impostazione che va modificata da BIOS.
